We are sisters and products of the American South. Our story began in the Carolinas over 100 years ago, when our great-grandparents farmed cotton and grew fruit and vegetable gardens for their large families. The harvest provided both a livelihood and provisions during Depression Era times and long thereafter. Even when we were children, our grandparents gave us fresh figs and muscadines and always filled the dinner table with fresh okra and tomatoes from their garden.
